We are looking for a Golf Course Maintenance (paid internship) for one of our partnered resort in South Carolina, USA --- The Palmetto Bluff.

Job Title: Golf Course Maintenance Department: May River Golf Maintenance Reports To: May River Golf Course Superintendent  Date Available: As early as March 2025, but flexible. Salary Range: USD$15/hr Description: Interns will be involved with application of fertilizers and pesticides, calibration of equipment, irrigation management, equipment maintenance, project involvement, cultural practices, arboriculture, and equipment. With a successful internship, our hope is that interns will take the opportunity and return for a higher role within our organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Maintain and organize all application equipment
• Monitor mix tank for proper working condition
• Clean and organize mix and load stations
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install sprinklers
• Monitor landscape sprinklers and valves for bunker edges and lake banks
• Maintain valve boxes and keep marked
• Maintain and install quick couplers
• Raise and level sprinklers
• Daily course Setup
• Moving tree markers
• Hand watering greens and fairways
• Examine and upkeep grounds beautification 
• Operate gardening equipment (root pruner, chipper, chainsaw, tractors, etc.)

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills; team orientated
• Desire to serve and create lifelong memories
• Previous experience in GCM required
• Love for the game of golf preferred
• Ability to comprehend instructions given in English or Spanish
• Ability to work 5 days a week, weekends and holidays
• Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training program

Educational Requirements Applicants should be enrolled in or have recently completed a 2 or 4-year Turf or Plant and Soil Science program.
