Our 14-Day Veterinary Expedition in South Africa offers an unparalleled opportunity to work directly with wildlife and make a difference in conservation efforts. Imagine darting from a helicopter, assisting in the sterilisation and collaring of lions, or participating in the microchipping of rhinos and buffaloes. It’s an adventure that combines hands-on veterinary work with the thrill of the wild.

For each expedition we will do minimum 2 of the big five procedures:

• Lion Work: we will be implementing lion contraception program which will require immobilisation and implant of contraception in females or Radio collaring lions
• Rhino Work – Immobilisation for satellite collars or Dehorning or Pregnancy/fertility testing.
• Buffalo Work – Buffalo disease testing or radio collaring
• Darting Introduction and Training – Volunteers will get darting introduction and opportunity to dart moving target from helicopter
• Game Capture – Volunteers will get 2 days exposure to mass capture of various game species
• Lion Work –  All volunteers will get minimum 2 days work experience in lion sanctuary.
