Through the International Experience Canada (IEC) programme, New Zealand citizens can apply for a Canadian Working Holiday Visa. This allows you to live and work in Canada for up to 23 months – giving you the chance to explore, gain work experience, and fund your travels.

We help all of our International Working Holiday participants through the entire visa process, step by step – so you won’t have to figure it out on your own.

Basic Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be aged 18 to 35 (inclusive)
  • Have at least C$2,500 in savings to help cover your initial expenses
  • Take out health insurance for the full length of your stay (proof may be required on entry)
  • Pay a participation fee (around C$150, paid in NZ dollars)
  • Not have used this Working Holiday Visa before
