Travelling solo can feel daunting, but you’re never truly alone on our programmes. International Working Holidays NZ has support teams both before and during your placement. You’ll always have someone to turn to if you have questions or just want a chat.
You’ll arrive into a welcoming environment with orientation, fellow volunteers, and emergency contacts. Many start solo – and leave with a whole new group of mates. The shared experience creates fast friendships and a built-in social group from day one.
Safety is a top priority. Our projects are thoroughly vetted, and you’ll have structure, guidance, and community every step of the way. It’s the perfect way to travel independently while still having a secure safety net.
