What to Expect During Your Two-Week Adventure Volunteering
Work alongside experienced wildlife vets, getting up close with majestic animals like lions, rhinos, and elephants. You’ll participate in vital veterinary procedures and learn cutting-edge techniques like heli darting.
Accommodation
Stay in luxury platform tents equipped with all the comforts of home: beds, towels, WiFi, fridge, air-conditioning, and an ensuite bathroom under the stars.

Exciting Activities and Learning Opportunities
During your stay, you’ll engage in a variety of activities designed to broaden your veterinary skills and conservation knowledge:
- Blood Sampling – Learn to take samples from the Jugular, Cephalic, and Saphenous veins.
- Sample Collection – Gather skin and hair samples for analysis.
- Injections – Administer anti-parasitic treatments, vitamins, vaccines, and antibiotics.
- Health Checks – Conduct comprehensive exams, including horn measurements, hoof checks, and dental assessments.
- Fertility Tests – Perform pregnancy checks, collect fecal samples, and monitor vital signs.
- Dart Training – Experience the thrill of heli darting, both from the ground and from a helicopter.
