Do I need horse experience?

Yes – this program is for intermediate+ riders comfortable handling and riding horses independently.

Is this like a safari?

Nope. It’s a volunteer experience program. You’ll get dusty, sweaty, and proud of what you accomplish.

Absolutely. Most people do. It’s a great way to meet like-minded adventurers.

Will I be riding every day?

Most days, yes – but this is balanced with stable work, learning time, and bush operations.

What’s the camp like?

Simple but beautiful. You’ll stay beside the horses with solar power, a washing machine, and just enough Wi-Fi to check in – but not enough to scroll all day.

What wildlife am I likely to encounter on horseback?

It’s possible to encounter any of the wildlife that resides in the reserve. These range from all various types of Antelope (Kudu, Eland, Impala, Duiker, etc) to Zebra, Giraffe, Baboon, Elephant, Hyena, Leopard, lots of different birds etc. Of course safety and respect in all wildlife encounters are paramount, hence, why we don’t guarantee any sightings or push to view when its not the right thing.
