Aoteoroa - Land of the long white cloud
One of New Zealand's top tourism and holiday destinations, Rotorua is situated in the central North Island of New Zealand. This thriving city of 68,000 people stands on the edge of Lake Rotorua, 300 metres above sea level.
It has mountains, lakes and rivers nearby so there is alot to see and do.
Its central location and excellent transport links makes it handy to major cities such as Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga, and to attractions in the surrounding region.
Rotorua's temperate climate and richly varied landscape make the area a perfect playground for a wide variety of activities.
Rotorua also has a large concentration of thermal activity in and around the city, giving it a unique aroma and some attractions you won't see many other places in the world.
The farm, being in the North Island, enjoys warmer temperatures than those NZ destinations in the South Island. That means you can attend this programme at any time of the year. It can rain more often during the winter (June, July, August) but you're unlikely to get snow.
